Nutrunity

Our bodies are interconnected systems, not one system works without the other.

It is widely accepted that many of our modern diseases are interconnected and this is often referred as: Unity of Disease.
It also explains that there is one common root cause of disease — disease occurs due to ongoing insults, disturbing each and every system in the body — and that symptoms manifest in stages.
For example, a skin condition may be the result of gut inflammation and is often the last symptom to appear, the one symptom that you are bound to notice, as previous ones were most probably ignored (e.g. bloating, gut discomfort, chronic constipation).
Conventional protocols may include suppressing the symptoms and treating the skin condition, while the root cause is left unaddressed.
A Naturopathic practitioner aims to identify the root cause and, in this case, heal the gut. Naturally, the skin may be the last system to clear; however, during your journey toward recovery, you may have worked on improving liver function and rebalancing hormones and immune responses. You may also see the fog dissipate and you can now think much clearer and feel more energy than you probably ever felt before.
Symptoms can take decades to appear and, for this reason, the proposed protocol may take some time to improve your condition and for symptoms to dissipate. Although, depending on your condition, you may notice immediate changes.

Nutr- stands for nutrition and optimum nutrition. A field we specialise in.

-Unity stands for unity of disease and is also an abbreviation of the word community. Being part of a community is an important component of health. Current research suggests that many of our modern diseases are the result of emotional imbalance, negative inner conversations and social isolation.
There is also strength in number. A large community possesses a louder voice. Faced with the full force of the multi-billion dollar pharmaceutical and food industries, it is vital that today we stand our ground, and that capitalism and greed do not stand at the expense of our health and freedom.

“I underestimated how hard it would be adjusting to our new way of life and working from home, but Nutrunity helped me to regain focus.”

Naturopathy is a healthcare system that recognises the healing power of nature present in all living things. As a holistic system, it aims to promote and restore health by employing various natural treatment approaches that may include: naturopathic nutrition, lifestyle advice, hydrotherapy, physical therapy, naturopathic psychosocial support and other appropriate techniques.
Naturopathic practitioners interpret presenting symptoms as the individual’s unique response to physical, emotional, environmental or genetic stress factors which can be identified by examining family medical history and various test results. The practitioner’s role is to identify underlying causes and to promote the inherent self-healing power within the individual. Naturopathy is also a way of life and the naturopath will help empower each individual through education about lifestyle, diet and exercise, and self-care.
Naturopathic medicine and nutrition provide invaluable methods to identify the root causes of dysfunction in your body, the provision of essential nutrients to support life, and your ability to absorb them. Current research suggests that many of the common and chronic health conditions may be prevented and possibly reversed with a healthy diet and lifestyle, and stress management (e.g., mindfulness, gratefulness and journaling).
Olivier relies on clinical experience and evidence-based scientific research to support his own work and continually reviews new research and publications advising the media and companies on nutrition and food.
